VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: HEALTH PROGRAMME MANAGER
The LGBT Centre, the one and only LGBTQI+ human rights organization in Mongolia seeks a passionate, collaborative, and highly effective individual to join our team and serve as a Health Programme Manager. We are a small team of committed and passionate human rights defenders who have managed to achieve remarkable results since the Centre’s establishment in 2007. The Health Programme Manager shall discharge the following responsibilities:
Lead the Health Programme area by developing and managing initiatives and projects to address gaps in the health rights of LGBTQI+ people through designing and conducting research and analysis, reviewing and developing sexual orientation, gender identity and expression as well sexual characteristics (SOGIESC) – inclusive curriculum for relevant medical education institutions, implementing initiatives for healthcare sector capacity building to enable institutional inclusion of LGBTQI+ specific health concerns at all levels of the healthcare sector, undertaking monitoring and evaluation of the programme through financial and narrative reporting, budgeting and tracking of expenditure, and human resources management where necessary;
Develop solid working relations with healthcare-related state and non-state organisations domestically and internationally to enable quick transfer and contextualisation of the best international healthcare standards for LGBTQI+ people;
Provide human rights and LGBTQI+ health, different needs workshops for the LGBTQI+ people, professionals, partner organisations, relevant civil society organisations and other institutions;
Collaborate on the development and implementation of other programme areas; and
Other responsibilities may be required.
Experience and Qualification
Familiarity with national LGBTQI+ community, and related human rights issues
Experience in public health sector
Familiarity with domestic and international human rights mechanism
Knowledge of LGBTQI+ specific health issues
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with civil society organizations
Working knowledge of English, strong Mongolian
Demonstrated experience in time and stress management
Two and more years of relevant work/volunteer experience
